A Slice by Miss Amenta

Last night when I was driving home I got a phone call from one of my oldest and best friends. She lives far away and we don’t see each other very much anymore now that she has three kids and a very busy job. It had been a long time since we had talked and I had somehow forgotten or ignored how important she is to me. Within minutes of hearing her voice, she had me laughing so hard I was almost crying with a funny story that was really only funny to the two of us. We both wondered why it had been so long since the last time we talked when each of us is so important to one another. It made me so happy that no matter how much time passes or how much distance separates us, we will always be friends.
